Training Leaders

Claudia Quigg

Claudia Quigg has been an enthusiastic champion for infants and parents for over 20 years. Claudia has taught at various levels and has written several publications for parents and professionals. She regularly presents papers and keynotes professional conferences. Claudia's warmth, energy and vision have promoted the joy of parenting and family literacy throughout North America.

Ellen Stogsdill

Ellen is the Outreach Coordinator for Baby TALK's local programs.  Her nearly 20 years administering a Head Start program have given her great insight as to what works with families of young children. Ellen loves working with low-income women in the prenatal clinics, and in watching their growth throughout their pregnancies. Her love of babies and their parents are conveyed by her sensitive support of young parents, her insightful mentoring of her staff and her effective training of other professionals.

Deb Widenhofer

Deb is the STEPS Early Intervention Coordinator for Baby TALK.  She diligently seeks the best approach to serving every child and every family, facilitating parents in their role as leaders of the child's educational team.  While much of her work is in her empathic support of children with special needs, she also has a real soft spot in her heart for teen parents, and has taught all of us much about how to be effective with that special population.  Deb is a master trainer.

Cindy Bardeleben

Cindy is our Family Literacy Coordinator and she has gained recognition for her strategic guidance of families served in her program, dealing with everything from adult educational achievements to homelessness and mental health counseling.  Charged with managing her own complex family literacy team, Cindy is a powerfully effective professional with a great sense of humor, a fatally soft heart, and a tireless energy to help families move ahead.

Other valuable Baby TALK staff members join training participants for discussions around implementation issues and are available for consultation.
