Kindermusik

Kindermusik is a program of music and movement classes for young children and their parents.  While it is not a program designed by Baby TALK, it is one which the Baby TALK program in Decatur has chosen to offer to our families.  (For more information on how to offer classes, please visit the Kindermusik web site.

Each semester, morning and evening sessions are offered for two different age groups:  Kindermusik Village serves parents and children ages 6 weeks-18 months in 8-week units.  Kindermusik Our Time serves parents and children 18 months to 3 ½ years in 14-week units.

Kindermusik classes include experiences in singing, movement, instrument play, hearing sounds and pitches, enjoying rhythm, and making new friends.

In addition to small group instruction, families receive home materials which include CD’s, picture books and activity books.  These materials are developed by Kindermusik International and ordered by Baby TALK. 

Families pay tuition for their children to attend Kindermusik.  A scholarship fund has been established by a memorial gift to Baby TALK.  Half-scholarships are provided to any family who would like to participate and requests assistance.
