Baby TALK in collaboration with Macon-Piatt Regional Office of Education (ROE) provides a high-quality alternative education program for adolescents who are pregnant or parenting and working toward high school completion. Macon Piatt ROE provides academic instruction while Baby TALK professionals employ the Baby TALK Family Engagement Approach to engage parents in group and home visiting, as well as provide high-quality childcare for children up to 3 years of age while their parent attends academic classes. Wraparound resources include transportation and case management.

GED/Family Literacy

Baby TALK professionals collaborate with Richland Community College to provide GED classes for parents with children birth through 3 or who are pregnant. Baby TALK professionals employ the Baby TALK Family Engagement Approach to engage parents in group, as well as provide high level of child-care for children while the parent attends academic classes. The group also visits the library together regularly and provides opportunities for parents and children to learn together through literacy interactions. Wraparound resources include transportation, case management, parent education and home visiting.
